About Me
I’ve been a “book-a-holic” since I learned how to read. I remember a librarian steering me away from the printed word to picture books. The minute her back was turned I went back to the real books. I felt so insulted. Picture books!
Reading has always been a passion of mine.
There has never been one particular genre that has stuck with me. I’ve always skipped from one genre to another wherever my whim would take me.
I don’t have one specific favorite author. Rather than that I have favorite authors for genres and even that can change on a month to month basis.
One of my friends, Kate Kulig, said her favorite books are “Whatever I’m currently reading.” I’d have to agree with her.
My most popular moniker on the Internet is theHyperMonkey. I’m known as a Mixed Media Artist and I have an art blog.
I’m a fast reader. I often read a book every two days, but I don’t always get my reviews up that quickly. I do try to be as prompt as possible.
I want to use this blog as a way to help others decide what books they may or may not want to read based based on my opinions, humble as they may be. I also want to use this blog to write down my thoughts about the books I read. So please take my opinions as exactly that, an opinion. Not as gospel or as law.
I’m a big supporter of Indie authors. I understand the book industry is changing. Readers and reviewers have more choices then ever before.
Mahalo for your time and enjoy the blog!
I am a book-aholic too! Quite impressed with u views! Well thanks for sharing your book reviews! This will definitely help. Me and my grandfather used to visit city’s British Library quite often and He used to buy books from a shop run by a German Couple! Though I was very small at that time! My journey with books began with reading Sherlock Holmes, Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys and many more! My grandfather used to read Perry Mason mysteries a lot! He has the entire collection of the series! I will visit ur blog for getting more infos. Hope you will keep us updated with different flavours of book!
