Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted byTyngaReviews.com and is a book haul post to show off everything you purchased or received for review.
Sanctum by Sarah Fine
Oathbreaker, Book 1: The Knight’s Tale by Colin McComb
Dawn: Xenogenesis by Octavia E. Butler
Pretty skimpy shopping week for me! I actually only bought one books as one book was free and another was a preorder. Preorders aren’t really a buy in my book. To buy a book you need to set out with intent in my mind.
The preorder book is Sanctum. The premise intrigued me. A friend out to save her best friend’s soul! Half human creatures that capture her! A human leader who sets out to be her white knight which has the spellings of a romance. Ooh and aah! I can’t wait to read it!
The Knight’s Tale is the free book I snagged from one of the Kindle newsletters I subscribe to. It looks really good and it got some great reviews. I want to start reading more Indie books again. I’d like to stop spending so much money on books. I think I can still get free books without sacrificing quality.
The last book I got is Dawn by the Octavia Butler. I love Octavia Butler. She’s a genius when it comes to science fiction. Her books are dark but eye opening and when I saw that Dawn was on sale I grabbed it.
That’s all I got this week. I’m very pleased with myself. I should try to continue my book diet! Have you ever gone on a book diet?
Hello! I’d very much like to have my books reviewed by Akamai Reader and to get on your list for guest author interviews. My name is Karen Azinger and I am the author of The Silk & Steel Saga, an epic fantasy series in the style of George Martin’s Game of Thrones but with a lot more women. The first three books of the saga, The Steel Queen, The Flame Priest, and The Skeleton King are published, and the fourth book, The Poison Priestess will be published in Nov 2012.
