I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be a part of Project Fairy Tale next year. Alison over at The Cheap Reader will be hosting it.

I’ll be covering Sleeping Beauty. What does that mean? I’ll be reading and reviewing at least three retellings. I’ve got a few books lined up for that. I’ll save the reveal for when the time comes, but one of the authors is Sheri Tepper. I’ll also try to compile a list of all the retellings I can find as well. It may not be a complete list of all that’s out there but it’ll have to do. I need to read the original fairy tale as well. I’ve always meant to read the Grimms’ fairy tales. This is the perfect opportunity.  Plus, Project Gutenberg had it for free.

I’m not sure if I’m going to make this a month long event or just a spattering of reviews here and there. Probably just a bit here and there. I don’t think I could sustain a whole month of Sleeping Beauty. I don’t think anyone would want me to.

Do you love fairy tales and retellings as much as do? Are you as excited as I am? I hope you are!

I don’t know if it’s on your list but Spindle’s End by Robin McKinley was pretty enjoyable!

Thanks! I put that one down.
