Today for BBAW we’re to pimp a book that we think needs more recognition! My pick is Chris Ward’s Tube Riders. (See my review here. You can also see my interview with Chris here.) It’s a fabulous book about daredevils that basically use clawboards to hitch a ride on the side of subway trains and go along for the ride. It’s a little more complicated then that but you can read more about it here on Chris’ blog. The book is set in a dystopian futuristic setting and the Tube Riders end up in a heap of trouble.
Captivatbed Reading says, “(it’s) such an action-packed adventure from the very beginning.”
Daulton Books says, “It’s an easy read, and, the price is amazing, especially since it’s a nice long book that will keep you entertained for a long time.”
The Future Fire says, “If you enjoy solid British sci-fi, or like me, are a sucker for terribly bleak yet well written dystopia, the book is a joy to read and something that really does stay with you long after you turn the final page.”
The consensus is in. This book is a winner! Don’t let this one pass you by!
BUY THE TUBE RIDERS
The way they ride the subway trains reminds me of Extras by Scott Westerfeld. I’ll have to look into this book!
It’s a great book!
I read this book and loved it! Burned through it in only a few days..
Awesome!
Bought four extra copies and gave them to friends as birthday presents. All loved it.
Oh wow! That’s so generous of you!
